I agree - I can't stop composing little patchworks (although they don't deplete my bin the way a full quilt would). I just love the jumble and how it makes something different, taken all together.
I love the mowing theme on this one. I've dreamed of doing one based on the farmers' fields around here, and then quilting it in long rows.
I've been taking a square a month class with 2 friends. it has challenged my sewing skills every month, but I am amazed at the beauty of each new design. i am now doing 3 for each month...I planned on doing the one kit package, plus one of my own to sure up that I *owned* the pattern, plus now I am doing my oldest daughter's kit, as she got engaged and lost interest in quilting.
Hope to have a beautiful quilt in grays and crimson next year.
This is beautiful. I love the colors. I wish you would share with us how you organize your scraps and fabric. Do you do it by colors? And when is something small enough to move from the fabric pile to the scrap bin?
Mrs. Mordecai, that's a good question! If something is smaller than a hand towel I generally put it in the scrap bin. Unless it's really special and in a tidy shape-then it might stay on the shelf. Oh, life is complicated, isn't it?
I got it and I love it! It has now taken residence on our black modern couch in the living room and adds a whimsical, (perfect) pop of color in the daytime and perfect snuggle-baby-girl-for-bedtime-stories at night. Thank you!

Yes, I do get it.
And I simply love this new quilt - the greens are just so soothing!
When I saw it, before I read your name for it, I thought it was the middle of the U.S. from the air.
Oh, so cool - my favorite color.

I'm amazed at how productive you are at sewing! How long does it take you to make one of these quilts? Do you sew everyday?
This is beautiful! Those greens are very cheerful.
I love green....

My favorite quilt you've done so far. I think I thought that a couple of quilts back too. Happy Spring to you!
Beautiful! Could you do a log cabin quilt tutorial? I'd love that. :)
I think I could--although I'm sure they're everywhere already.
Anyone want to recommend one?
how fun...looks like spring!
