I Never Thought We Would Go Four-Wheeling, But Then We Did
A church friend insisted that Clara was not ready to leave for college until she'd been out in the woods four-wheeling. I don't believe that was on her bucket list, but she was game, since Dean was inviting. We drove up to his cabin, he gave a brief demonstration, and she did a very slow turn around the front yard.
Then Daisy did some hard-core driving.
Then Bella hopped on, with her two friends on the other machines, and they took off for the field where you can *really* get up speed. Faster than walking. So fast I didn't get a picture. Instead, Clara and Daisy and I gathered the buckets and took off for the wild raspberry patch. A good division of labor, for everyone!

I agree with Dean. Everyone should try 4 wheeling at least once just to say you've done it, especially being a Southern girl. Cow tipping is a Southern experience though that I wish I had not been a part of during my teenage years. Looks like fun was had by all!

This makes me smile, remembering my own one-time experience with four-wheeling when I was young. I do remember it being a lot of fun, although I've never done it again.

Oh man, four wheelers and old dirt roads and the creek running through the hay field - sounds like every other country song, but that's some fun times right there! Throw in some green beans and some fire arm practice and you've got a day down at the farm :)

We own a 4 wheeler and I like tearing off in it once in a while, though "fast" to me is only about 20 mph. It is good fun, and though perhaps not a bucket list essential, it is neat to say that it has been done. I have girlfriends around Clara's age who go often and take the wheelers mudding.
Although it seems to me I recall your mentioning that you use/have used King Arthur Flour, I just saw something inspiring on kingarthurflour.com that you may not have seen and it made me think of you and your girls right.a.way....On the opening page of kingarthurflour.com, if you click on the "video" option, check out the "pop tart" video. Maybe Clara and Bella and Daisy and you use the frissage process already, but...just mentioning. B/North
Seeing elegant Clara on a four-wheeler is so funny! She looks like she was made for the concert hall--yet she looks perfectly comfortable on the four-wheeler as well. A Renaissance woman!
