I'd love to make one, but just can't get myself to pay that much for a pattern [plus shipping!] when they go on sale for 99 cents at Jo-Ann's.

I like the different materials you used.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-21385631835265170842008-07-14T10:05:00.000-05:002008-07-14T10:05:00.000-05:00Just beautifulJust beautifulDebrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14154200612100731159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-84992658397172745762008-07-13T22:08:00.000-05:002008-07-13T22:08:00.000-05:00Hello Anna!!I questioned the stitching on your red...Hello Anna!!
I questioned the stitching on your red binding, so asked a sewer friend... "The tension is too loose on the needle thread. She either needs to tighten the needle thread tension or loosen the bobbin tension. Rule of thumb when adjusting tension. Do the needle tension first. It's easier and the bobbin tension was really never meant to be adjusted. But it is." - Donna's Den http://www.donnahodgson.blogspot.com/
Hopes this helps!!
You, your family and your blog are a very special part of every morning.
Soft hug,
Rhonda in MontrealRhotohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12245549330245537017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-70475289013591831852008-07-13T20:18:00.000-05:002008-07-13T20:18:00.000-05:00Oh how I have enjoyed your blog and all of your in...Oh how I have enjoyed your blog and all of your interests and talents you possess. I love to sew, but all my sewing comes from my imagination and not from patterns. What would you suggest me to start with to improve my sewing ability? However my seamstress skills will barely stretch to making an apron. I didn't think I could wear polka dots but I recently bought a cute, feminine dress with flouncy ruffled sleeves that was black with tiny aqua blue polka dots. Looks great on me and I thought I might try more. Thanks for sharing the name of the dress and the pattern company. I'm definitely a beginner seamstress :-)

God bless,
SallieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-20089359884449112122008-07-13T10:21:00.000-05:002008-07-13T10:21:00.000-05:00Well done! It's winter in Australia at present so I won't be wearing something like this for a while but I have a mountain of material so I'll save the inspiration till then. Thank you for taking time to write your blog, it has been of great encouragement.LauraWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01406457096757052714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-53449925965911694652008-07-13T10:02:00.000-05:002008-07-13T10:02:00.000-05:00Very sweet. The first one was WAY too big, and I had to adjust it. I use all French seams with the exception of where the bodice attaches to the skirt, and it's as beautiful inside as it is out. I also lengthened the sleeve by 1 1/2 inches. And personally, I don't like the dickie, but prefer a camisole. Hmmm...now I need to try to fit the bodice and use a side zipper. I dislike the back ties, too. Other than that, I love this dress.Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17316243882758535639noreply@blogger.com
