I have found when the children are little, that knitting and embroidery (knitting in particular) are easier to accomplish because they just don't take as much forethought, or as many steps as sewing (tracing, cutting out, sewing, fitting etc.).
This is especially true if you follow knitting patterns with uncomplicated patterns and easily memorized repeats.
Of course, I can't leave sewing things out as I have a very small house. It might be easier to sew if I could leave all the paraphernalia out :)Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10293979952867256817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-77388724198946741182011-03-02T06:49:37.455-06:002011-03-02T06:49:37.455-06:00I remember the days! You may indeed have to wait until they are a little older to have the time to sew or knit, or maybe you can grab a very few minutes a day to get something done. Make sure you have it set up and decided upon in advance, so you don't have to use any precious energy thinking!Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10747223126169684757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-39368731015173613422011-03-02T05:36:58.441-06:002011-03-02T05:36:58.441-06:00Anna, I so admire all that you do. I love it even though I am tired a lot of the time! :)

One thing I would REALLY appreciate your advice on is How on earth do I find time to sew or knit? These are things that I so enjoy doing, I find it relaxing and it fills my home with beauty, there's almost nothing better! But I do struggle with finding the time...and some nights after the kiddos are down (at 7 pm) I am too exhausted which is a shame.

I feel I have so much creative energy in there and I feel frustrated when it can't "come out"...

Does this make any sense? What to do?

Is it just: wait until they're older or is there something I can
do even now so that I can at least get a little done every day?

Please anyone else with ideas feel free to share!

Many blessings!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-75219326227393178992011-01-24T06:46:32.661-06:002011-01-24T06:46:32.661-06:00If you're teaching yourself, I'd say embro...If you're teaching yourself, I'd say embroidery.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10747223126169684757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-45854499108329735882011-01-23T22:05:36.265-06:002011-01-23T22:05:36.265-06:00I have decided that I am going to learn either emb...I have decided that I am going to learn either embroidery or knitting.
