I like your idea, though!Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01285185619015613888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-6338657461924126852011-02-23T06:45:13.750-06:002011-02-23T06:45:13.750-06:00We have a floor cloth in our living room, just a s...We have a floor cloth in our living room, just a small one. I want to do one for my dining room, but I don't relish the time consumption of painting it. I'm wondering if you could somehow varnish or poly-coat this fabric to help stiffen it up and make it mop-able. I may to experiment!Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05961614872895512970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-16893591788174027712011-02-22T23:55:22.945-06:002011-02-22T23:55:22.945-06:00I too have done this-- both with fabric and by pai...I too have done this-- both with fabric and by painting the canvas. (ha) My linen for a floorcloth is right this very minute drying on the rack - and it's totally inspired from your first floorcloth, the red one.

And I thought of that doubled benefit too, plus the endless possibilities with fabric.

I'm going to interline mine with towels because it's supposed to serve as the muddy water/drip catcher between the front door and the sitting bench with the boot trays. Hm. I hope the towels make it heavy enough to stay in place. But tra-la, I got the linen half-off the clearance price, so I'm not scared of it.Margohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16345165456341197559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-11947074314725106992011-02-22T20:16:03.532-06:002011-02-22T20:16:03.532-06:00Definitely something to remember - a really nice i...Definitely something to remember - a really nice idea.

LisateresaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12503930255842185609noreply@blogger.com
