I came home with 12 heathy looking young shrubs for $40!!! I am so pleased! I hope to go back tomorrow for more! They are the 'good bones' kind of plants, nothing showy, fairly common, but great 'backdrops' for the 'stars' of the garden! BTW - I forgot to get the special light bulb!Heather Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13563913535839786305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-1161814450611743392006-10-25T17:14:00.000-05:002006-10-25T17:14:00.000-05:00Those deer wouldn't stand a chance in my garden. Sounds like you've put together a terrific plan for low-maintenance landscaping. We don't have deer, but the wild turkeys have made a mess in one of my front flower beds!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-1161787871966178872006-10-25T09:51:00.000-05:002006-10-25T09:51:00.000-05:00I live in deer central, and they basically don't l...I live in deer central, and they basically don't like highly scented plants. They have destroyed my lilacs, tuplips, roses, wegelia. They leave alone all herbs, ornamental grasses, Russian sage, dusty miller, lambs' ears, peonies, lilies of the valley, daffodils, hyacinths.

I also really enjoy your blog -- you seem to have crafted a very lovely life.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-1161783052013435882006-10-25T08:30:00.000-05:002006-10-25T08:30:00.000-05:00I echo Mrs. U..I LOVE your blog!
