One of my best memories from college is also one of the weirdest: my best friend and I flushed an owl from a tall tree late one night (by accident, of course) and then wound up spending a couple of hours watching it, stalking it, observing it, and wanting one of our own.Pollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09403233175071026416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-20154122696009371112009-01-18T22:41:00.000-06:002009-01-18T22:41:00.000-06:00I didn't know what owls smelled like! Our patron goddess was Athena, goddess of wisdom, with an owl perched on her shoulder. It is one of 3 that I look forward to reading every morning, and it never fails to brighten my day. I am going to be so bold as to make a request, if there should ever come a day when you are at a loss for blog material! I would love to know how you plan meals for your family - do you organize ahead of time by week or month, do you stockpile certain ingredients and use what is in your pantry, do you do a weekly shopping or end up (like myself, sadly) at the market several times a week in order to retrieve a single forgotten ingredient (and leave with 4 bags of groceries)? You have given me so many good ideas in other domestic areas - I'd be interested in hearing about your meal-planning approach sometime.

Thanks again for the daily inspiration!

KateAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-79947908129207809082009-01-17T22:24:00.000-06:002009-01-17T22:24:00.000-06:00Oh, now I want one, too!
