I didn't know that they grow the baby plants at the end of the flower stalk. That's going to be interesting to watch! I would never have tried orchids if it weren't for your orchid posts! I expected them to be too difficult for me. They are actually really easy, at least the supermarket variety ones are. Now to conquer African violets. I have absolutely no luck with those.
Dee/NYAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-68087999420621473242013-05-05T06:18:18.249-05:002013-05-05T06:18:18.249-05:00I water mine every ten days, all year. Oh well.

Watering 3x a year does not sound like enough!! I'd step that up a little.

There are lots of online resources that can give you detailed instructions for your orchids.Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10747223126169684757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-48464874962574843632013-05-05T06:13:24.889-05:002013-05-05T06:13:24.889-05:00Do you have a website or book that you use for the...Do you have a website or book that you use for the orchids? I've watered mine only 3 times this whole year , and it's beginning to bloom! The leaves look very sad and droopy, though. Would love to have it happy! I just have no idea how to do it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-19392648852133493502013-05-05T02:57:56.541-05:002013-05-05T02:57:56.541-05:00Only a bazillion Anna? I just got a mini for $3.00I have no idea what its" hue is though. I am hoping to eventually get a white one, my favorite! Anna, have you had to repot any yet? How do you know when it its time? How are they propagated? I'd love to share them with my family. Logee's sells the vanilla orchid. I've been coveting it for a few years. Wouldn't it ber fun to grow your own vanilla beans?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-22546780597214840612013-05-04T07:00:14.020-05:002013-05-04T07:00:14.020-05:00What kind of fabric did you use for the tablecloth...What kind of fabric did you use for the tablecloths?

LisateresaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12503930255842185609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16182378.post-16415347133312255442013-05-04T04:27:07.790-05:002013-05-04T04:27:07.790-05:00I'm always surprised at how well my orchids do...I'm always surprised at how well my orchids do when I completely neglect them for weeks at a time.

They're the perfect plant for me. I have 5 now and the big plants are all flowering and the small one (that apparently dislikes care more than the others) finally has some buds, too. No water for three weeks and then a big dump of water apparently did that :-D nicolehttp://desdemona20.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
