We hit Giles up for a portrait session before he left. It was freezing cold the last day of the year, but we tried to look balmy!
Wow, how these children have grown up this year. Here is Clara, world's most serene and centered teenager:
Bella, who is more beautiful every time I turn around and has recently taken up cooking in a big way:
Sweet Felix who is thinking of leaving the nest next year!
Giles looking seriously adult:
I visualize the travel preparations being completed:
My very Dear Composer:
And now we head off into the sunset for a few days of skiing--back on Monday!
Beautiful!!! It is amazing how fast they grow up isn't it?
ReplyDeleteStunning!! I just love all of their names.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Is he good!

Lovely, lovely family, but Anna, Anna, Anna, don't be in such a hurry to rush everyone through life! Why the hurry to leave the nest? They are so young!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely pictures. I hope you have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's not me that's in a hurry to get them out! They are the ones who are excited about the next step and ready to learn more. I do love having them at home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family. Isn't our God amazing?!?!?
ReplyDeleteIn Christ,
Dawn
Again, such a great capture of the winter light.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like Giles' view--he clearly loves his family, and does a great job expressing it.
All of your kids are just beautiful, and they all have that look of contentment that is only found in Christ. That must warm your heart so. My favorite picture, though, is of you and your husband. That is just so perfect.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are amazing with the use of light. You have a beautiful family! God Bless! :-)
ReplyDeleteDitto, Polly.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Anna, I came across your blog while reading "Unclutterer" - I think you posted about how you store wrapping paper - and since then I have enjoyed the little glimpses of your life that you have been kind enough to share with us.
ReplyDeleteI have one daughter who is a freshman at University of California Santa Cruz; one son who is a high school junior; and another daughter who is in fifth grade. So I can relate to your feelings of how quickly the years fly by.
Your children are beautiful, inside and out, and that is a reflection of you and your husband and the home you provide.
Wow, beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteGiles is really good, I'm sure you already know that!
I'll have to practice visualizing travel plans being completed next time it comes around. It sure looks like it makes it a more pleasant exercise! I love going away, but, UGH! the coordinating involved. Have an incredibly joyous time!
ReplyDeleteAnna you have a beautiful family! They're all growing up so quick! It's nice to see pictures of you all, including the Composer :)
ReplyDeleteFelix does not look old enough to leave the nest. :)

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to pop by and say that I made those Butterscotch Brownies to RAVE reviews. Thanks for the recipe - I think it will become an often-served item for all our college-age friends (my husband is campus staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in California).
What a great grouping of pictures,, but where is Daisy?? It seems her pic is missing..was she being shy? They all look beautiful and full of joy. Congrats on a great family
ReplyDeleteGreat to see the family pictures Anna. Giles is a talented young man.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet your family in another form. A few of us are being big and brave and revealing more.
