Bella Sings
Enjoy this clip of Bella at a Messiah rehearsal--accompanied by what may be the world's Worst Community Orchestra. The poor girl had to fight for every note!
Anna - holy mackerel! Wowee! My mother used to point out to me certain sopranos whose voices seemed to "ring" - like bells within the voice - and this is what I hear in this tape. The gifts of God are amazing! You must be tickled! (Bella looks much younger here than in her "shawl" photo!) Congratulations, Bella!
Wonderful! What a beautiful voice--clear as a bell and light without a hint of strain--just soaring over the top with a light prance--the kind of sorprano we hardly ever hear! Bravo, Bella!

Wow! When you said months ago that we would be hearing of Bella some day you were not exaggerating in the least! What a beautiful gift God has given your precious girl! I can hardly wrap my mind around such a lovely voice in such a young girl! Oh the places she will go, the praises she will sing, and the blessing she will be to those of us who cannot carry a tune but admire those who can!
She has a gorgeous voice with a very unique color to it! Anna, I am a vocal coach and I'd suggest, if you have not already, that you find a coloratura soprano to teach Bella asap. I know she is young, but her voice is very developed for her age and training now with a GOOD teacher will only help.
What a treat, to be able to hear her sing! Thanks for sharing, Anna, and thanks for always bringing such beauty to the blogosphere. I don't know how you manage to have such a successful blog without buckling to all of the (ahem... tacky?) advertisements that every other popular blog seems to have. Thanks for staying true and making your readers feel like a valued audience.
I do believe she could do anything that she wanted with that voice. Extraordinary. I'm glad she's in a family that knows how to nurture their children and their talents.

I expected Bella would have a beautiful voice, I didn't anticipate this. As a former high school teacher I can't help but think, 'thank goodness Bella is the daughter of parents who know how to mould talent and expect their children to strive for their best.' Brava Bella, brava.

Lovely voice indeed, with great potential - as another poster mentioned, coaching with a good coloratura soprano would be ideal. Pity about the orchestra, how Bella could manage to maintain pitch at all with that dissonance is testimony to her talent.

Hallelujah! I couldn't believe that amazing sound was coming out of that little girl! She has such a lovely voice at such a young age! What a blessing from God.
Very lovely! Quite a voice for twelve :-) I think our community orchestra for Sound of Music probably rivaled this one in awful-ness... but kudos to Bella for working through the... pitch differences...
You have said many times how Bella loved to sing and I said to myself she should post a video one day of her singing! And here is the video, yes Bella's voice is very clear and she does not strain for the notes which is a breath of fresh air. I am a vocalist myself and I am not a 1st soprano, but I am a 2nd and I have to strain for 1st notes. She did a great job with her range. God does give us wonderful gifts! I will be posting some videos of myself singing in the near future hopefully too.

Holy. Cow. That beauty of yours has some serious chops on her. SHE is going to go FAR! Encourage her not to destroy her beautiful instrument with anything "pop" like Mariah Carey or the like. She will only ruin it! Indiana University School of Music... a fabulous, world-renowned music school, and a tough one to get into. She could go TOMORROW!!

Her voice has such a pure, delightful, joyful sound to it - it reminds me of bells like someone else mentioned. Or water - clear, flowing, beauty radiating light. The Lord has truly blessed her with the voice of an angel! While I was listening, my man (from accross the room) commented, "Wow, that is impressive! Who is that?"
Wow, finally got to hear her! She has a wonderful voice--may God's light shine through her in whatever way He would have her use that wonderful talent. Please keep us up to date on how her training is going and what she does with her voice. And like someone else said, please let us have a chance to buy anything she may produce on CD someday! We got a laugh about the orchestra (they were trying), and really enjoyed Bella's voice (we meaning my daughter who is 13). Bella has the gift doesn't she?
Oh.My.Goodness. Her talent just blows me away. I just wish that a dear friend who passed away unexpectedly a year ago could hear her. My friend and Bella , although many yrs apart in age, have that same unique gift....what a blessing to hear this!
Bella Messiah indeed! AND Bella Bella :) Someone mentioned "the next Kathleen Battle". As she is a Major Diva and makes enemies wherever she goes, I hope Bella will excel beyond her! Blessings on Bella and may she use her gift just as God intends it to be used.
I got chills listening to that, thank you so much for sharing it with us. I feel sorry for the orchestra, they definitely are weak and out of tune aren't they? I am glad Bella gets a chance to share her amazing voice with the world, but she definitely makes the orchestra sound poor in comparison!

A note from the ends of the earth....I haven't seen one from Mongolia here, yet! :) I loved hearing Bella....would have loved it even more if it would have been longer. How she must bless you, singing while she cooks!

We got a laugh about the orchestra (they were trying), and really enjoyed Bella's voice (we meaning my daughter who is 13). Bella has the gift doesn't she?

ReplyDeleteOh.My.Goodness. Her talent just blows me away. I just wish that a dear friend who passed away unexpectedly a year ago could hear her. My friend and Bella , although many yrs apart in age, have that same unique gift....what a blessing to hear this!

I got chills listening to that, thank you so much for sharing it with us. I feel sorry for the orchestra, they definitely are weak and out of tune aren't they? I am glad Bella gets a chance to share her amazing voice with the world, but she definitely makes the orchestra sound poor in comparison!

A note from the ends of the earth....I haven't seen one from Mongolia here, yet! :) I loved hearing Bella....would have loved it even more if it would have been longer. How she must bless you, singing while she cooks!
