Hi Anna - such beautiful girls and such a lovely blog.
I've been meaning to recommend a book to you for Daisy which I read as a girl and which my young son loved also (a great read aloud). It's called The Far-Distant Oxus and it's about a group of English schoolchildren on summer holiday who go on a great adventure - a pony trek! It has a great back-story: it was written in the 1930's by two English school girls who loved Arthur Ramsome's books and modeled it on them:
It's out of print but I got it on Alibris and it's also sometimes available on Amazon used books. FYI, the children in the book are permitted an unusual level of autonomy, a la Swallows and Amazons :)
And a quick question: My homeschooler is ready for Advanced Math and I'm not sure I love Saxon's two year plan. May I ask what text your children use for Advanced Math? Thanks so much!
Beautiful! Christina
ReplyDeleteI love their dresses and smiles. I still think Daisy looks like Andie MacDowell.
ReplyDeleteWhat a couple of beauties! Their virtue shines in their countenances.

Mary, thanks for the recommendation, it sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe use Apex online courses for our older kids, and I'm sorry I don't know what the stand-alone textbook is. We have been super happy with Apex though.
Farrah, I see it too :)
Sweet, sweet sisters!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pair of sweeties!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Anna!
