Yellow Gladiolas
Not a flower I usually buy, but these were offered freely after a baby shower at church, and I happily gave them a home. They are a huge burst of sunshine on the dining table.
They *are* kind of hard to display, being so tall, but I love the way the petals look like silk blowing in the wind--kind of "flow-y." Pretty color, and nice photo!! --Barbara
Gladies are a beautiful but much maligned flower here in Australia. They were used by a a comedian here to poke fun at ordinary Australians and now hardly anyone grows them Mine have refused to flower for the past few years so I need new bulbs I think.
