The Composer gave me a real live corsage! Such vintage glamour . . .
And copper roses, which made for a very happy breakfast.
Giles gave me a photography lesson, where I learned a little about fill light. To some extent, photography hurts my brain to think about, but I did take this picture:
Before Giles took the camera back where it belongs, and made a new picture of me
which I like!
You, are very pretty.

I like it too! You are both beautiful -- and talented.
ReplyDeleteI can identify with the brain pain and photography. I am married to a pro photog and he gave me a digital camera for Christmas three years ago. I have taken three pictures. I am totally intimadated. I know I can't please him ... or me. I look forward to lurking at your blog everyday. It seems so funny when you talk about vintage patterns from the 50"s - my teen years! Oh how I wish I had kept those 35-cent patterns! Not that they would fit now. But you are so lithe and fit. You do good.

I really like your new picture too.....You are lovely! So natural looking. (o:
ReplyDeleteA lovely photo of a lovely lady!

Oooh...The picture of Giles shows where he got his "eye" I think, even if big bad black (as my DH jokingly calls my camera) scares you. *giggle* What a beautiful momma, and a beautiful mother's day!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos and I agree with all the other posters: You are very pretty!
ReplyDeletelove the copper roses in the vintage ice bucket!!! Wonderful photos (as usual, Giles!!)
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment yesterday on your new photo--good job, Giles!
ReplyDeleteI love your corsage and roses, too! Hope your Mother's Day was just as beautiful.
I found your blog last night and have really enjoyed your beautiful photographs and am amazed at all the beauty you find around you. Thank you for sharing it with all of us!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this new photo of you I immediately thought of Daisy! Wonder if you get the "she resembles you" comment. Good job on that photo of Giles!

Lovely new picture!! And I can't believe you got a real corsage... that is too sweet!!! Belated congratulations on Giles' accomplishments :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful mother's day you've had! That corsage is just lovely as is the pink polka dot dress (?) you're wearing - may I ask if you've made it yourself?
ReplyDeleteI found your blog via S&S message forum a long time ago and have been a faithful reader ever since. I don't recall ever commenting, though... I truly enjoy the happy, peaceful atmosphere of Giles' pictures and your writing. It's a pleasure to come here every time.
Oh, and the new photo is very beautiful!
It looks like you had a lovely Mother's Day. I really like your new photo. Your son is so very talented!

What a natural beauty you are Anna. So glad you had such a great mothers day.:)
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say that I really love your views on homeschooling. I have only done it for three years now and I can totally see how you came up with your philosphy on it the longer I do it. I've learned that kids learn when they are ready to learn.
Take care Anna,
Salina
