If you had told me a month ago that I would soon be fascinated with vintage bag and purse patterns, I believe I would have scoffed. I guess you just never know what's coming at you!
Isn't this pattern delicious! My first project from it was the round knitting bag (of course!). Typical forties pattern instructions told me to "assemble bag." So I just sort of made something up. Which you can see
here if you like!
I crocheted a knitting bag just like that one! I got the pattern from an old book at Gutenberg!
ReplyDeleteHow funny -- I've been keeping an eye on eBay for a vintage bags pattern! I haven't found the perfect one yet, but I do like yours. As always, I will enjoy seeing the fruits of your labor.
ReplyDeleteIf I knitted, I don't think I could resist! :)
ReplyDeletelove it!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are VERY cute. I love vintage stuff.
ReplyDeleteI visited your site for the first time yesterday and thought I posted something to tell you thanks for the inspiration, but I don't see it.
ReplyDeleteJust want to say that I love your blog, the mix of all your creativeness that's reflected here. You've made me remember the quilt I started before gardening began. Time to finish that!
You also have a great list of blog links. I only got part of the way down before finding Heather's blog, and losing all sense of time there, but will finish going through your link list another day.
Awww I love those!
ReplyDeleteWoW!! It's relaxing reading your webpage. It's like reading out of a Laura Ingle Wilder book or a fairy tale. Your recipes are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks
