Clara's weaving continues. She's working with several kinds of thread--some plain, some crinkly, and a couple of rag strips for fun.
These last days are very difficult. For Nanny, for us. Surely we are close to the end, pulling that last thread across.
Beautifully written, as usual.
ReplyDeleteStill praying ... Bless you all.
ReplyDeleteOngoing prayers for all the family. You write so beautifully of these last days. It touches me deeply. Thank you for sharing the journey.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and peace.
What a wrenching time for all of you - knowing that she will be at peace if she goes - but also not wanting to 'wish away' precious time with a loved one.
ReplyDeletePraying for grace and knowledge.
hmm, and in those interwoven threads are memories that bind your family together..even closer now.
ReplyDeleteBless you as this path is walked. May you know His presence in such a tender way.
Praying for your family. My father passed away yesterday. Savor these precious moments.
ReplyDeletePraying for you all, Anna.
ReplyDeleteDear Anna,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to thank you for your blog. I so appreciate the beauty you share with us here. You make me want to live like you do without making it seem impossible.
Thanks for your fragrance...
((Oh Anna)) ~ Oftentimes the threads that leave the most beautiful patterns in our lives are the ones that are most difficult with which to work. In fact, they can leave us feeling quite broken.
ReplyDeleteMay you feel God's strength, mercy, grace, and comfort surrounding you and strengthening you as you walk this path to which He has called you.
We've gone through this with my sister's beloved husband not so long ago. It IS so very hard, and so very sweet at the same time.
ReplyDeletePraying that God's Grace will be sufficient as He promises.
nPraying for you Dear One. May His presence and peace fill your home.
ReplyDeleteAnna,
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of your family. Your words never fail to inspire me. Please pass on my compliments and encouragement to Clara. I am a beginning weaver myself, and I can tell from the picture of her work that she has a good "hand". She's doing a lovely job!
Thank you for your beautiful contributions to this tangled "web" world.

There really isn't anything to say (except what others have already said) for such hard, heart-rending days...but He promises "as thy days so shall thy strength be", and a reminder that the "eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms."
ReplyDeletePraying for you all. Theresa
Your post made me think of a poem - I can only remember a few lines:
ReplyDeleteNot till the loom is silent.
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unveil the pattern
And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as useful
In the weavers skilful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern he had planned.
God bless you all in these days.
Our prayers are with you and your family during this time. I lost my Grandpa in November. What a bitter sweet time. Knowing that their absence from the body is presence with the Lord. Still we grieve our loss.

It is a hard time...and a blessed time.
ReplyDeleteMay prayers continue to surround your sweet family.
Thank you for sharing...it is such a real part of life that many of us will or have walked through but is not spoken of nearly often enough.

Wow, Clara has inspired me. I have just bought a loom too, after wanting one for a while. I am also learning to spin my wool and wanting to weave with that. It is so therapeutic and meditative to spin and to weave, because it demands your body and your mind. I enjoy the times of focus and quiet as I don't feel the need for the TV and other distractions, except a good friend or family to chat with of course.
