Wordless

Half my mind is busy with packing the kids and the kitchen up for a trip to the cabin.

The other half is desperately grieving for dear friends who lost their 19-year old son this morning.

It seems very odd to be frosting a cake and gathering swim towels.

Wordless for now, except for this from Psalm 65:
How blessed is the one whom Thou dost choose, and bring near to Thee,
To dwell in Thy courts.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house,
Thy holy temple.

  3. Anna, I just opened my newspaper to see a local boy has died at high school football camp. Then I go to see your blog. Looks like a lot of prayers are needed today.

  6. Anna,
So often we do not understand Gods ways or his timing. I always remind myself at times like these that His ways are so much higher and better than my. The finite can never understand the infinite. God is good all the time. We will keep both your family and this precious family in our prayers.

  11. The psalms are perfect, and a great comfort to be well acquainted with them.

  12. I totally understand you're feelings. One of the boyscouts killed in Iowa a month ago was the son of friends or ours. It was odd to go about life while grieving for them.

  13. loss always makes our hearts ache, but for some one close to loose a dear one grieves us more. When we have children the same age it hits home even harder. Praying for your friend.

  14. Anna, so sorry about your loss and saying a prayer for this family. I've just been studying Psalm 84 - "better is one day in your courts than a thousand outside" - and finding comfort there. One of my sons is also in the house of the Lord, where God has wiped every tear away and they are singing "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty."

  15. So sorry for your friends loss. My prayers are going out for the family. I just got an e-mail that a father at our school (age 45) suddenly passed away. Many prayers are needed today.

  20. Oh my, such a small world. Here in Wheaton we are praying for the same family. God's family is so large, and his love is infinitely larger.
