Taking to My Knitting

I am taking to my bed with my bag of knitting this evening. For one thing, I still haven't shaken my bronchial troubles. Even more to the point, the kids' excitement level due to Giles' arrival home tomorrow? That's at Bouncing Off the Walls.

Besides, a sweet family is awaiting the arrival of a beautiful, though tiny, Ethiopian princess, and even though I've never knitted lace before I intend to get her dress finished in time.

So, don't knock on my door unless it's an emergency!

  7. Anna, have you seen this bird quilt top on ebay? - http://cgi.ebay.com/Queen-size-patchwork-applique-quilt-top_W0QQitemZ280285877188QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item280285877188&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1240%7C66%3A4%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318.
    It's a queen size, with doves appliqued on it.

    By now Giles must be home. What fun! I find having your grown children come home to be a great cure for a bad cold!

  10. Hi Anna;

    Hope I didn't ruin the surprise, but I just wanted to tell you that you are honestly too sweet. Thank you for blessing me, I am thankful for your friendship.

    I have started preparing the nursery for *Little Beauty*, it is so exciting to unpack all the things that have been stored away waiting for so many years.

    Thank you for sharing in our joy-praying that Dec. 12th we make it out of court (Ethiopian) with a big *approved* stamp. Then we can travel to go get her, what a wonderful way to end the year!

    big hug...hope you are feeling better, have a wonderful visit with your son Giles.
