She Begs Me to Sew
. . . so that she can play in the sewing room closet. She plays that we are both fairies and we're neighbors and we're talking to each other from our porches. And my boxes of scraps are her flower beds. Heaven help me.
Oh, come on, Anna - are you trying to say the reason for your sewing marathon is because Daisy makes you do it? Pitiful! :) How cute she is - great photo.
My daughter allowed me into her childhood world too!She imagined she was Martha Graham at the age of three.Life is wonderful when you see it through a childs eyes.
Don't children have wonderful imaginations? Mr Busy told his Sunday School teachers when he was about 4yo that the thing he finds hard is to do his work at his table because his teddy's kept talking to him....distracting him. Naughty teddies! Oh how I rolled with laughter.
It is such a joy to have her want to be there with you in your sewing room. What a lovely relationship. Treasure each and every moment. I spent many hours with my mother in her sewing room. I had a needle and thread and always a thimble while sewing all sorts of trim and buttons on my doll's clothes. Now my granddaughter shares time with me in my sewing room. She tells me "Grandma, you have lots of treasures" - not knowing that she is the most wonderful treasure of all.
Beautiful post. Beautiful picture. It is truly the simple things in life that bring so much pleasure. A pile of fabric scraps = a beautiful flower bed...I agree with that!! ;)
I love how innocent they are, they bring so much joy to our heart!
