Bella decided to make potato chips to go along with lunch. I tell you the girl is fearless in the kitchen!
She worked from a recipe but quickly realized that there was no trick to slicing the potatoes thinly with a knife, dropping them in hot oil, fishing them out, then salting them. The only trick is not eating them all at once!
She IS fearless! Oh, the deliciousness of salted homemade chips.
ReplyDeleteyummmy we love homemade potato chips. We tried a knife but found that a vegetable peeler works much better and gets the potatoes nice and thin
ReplyDeleteThey do look good!
ReplyDeleteI am predicting we will see Bella on the Food Network some day--making and sharing all her delicious recipes! And we will be able to say "I 'knew' her when!" She's a gem but I'm sure you know that!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It is so wonderful to see a young girl so interested in cooking and experimenting in the kitchen :) Go Bella!
ReplyDeleteI love that Bella does this kind of thing! Now she's ready for a new recipe: same technique, only quarter-inch thick plantains. Green ones work best. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you stay so slim. I'd be a balloon if Bella lived here. Those look so good, I could just lick the monitor.
