This is not just any basket. First of all, it's entirely handmade by my nephew. Second, it was in the car with us at all times for weeks, with a soft blanket in it, in case we saw a stray kitten.
Now, without any training at all, Lucy knows that she's supposed to sleep there.
Sometimes things just work out.
Oh, how sweet! I love kittens!
ReplyDeleteWe just awarded you on our blog. I don't think you usually do tags and such, but I thought I'd let you know.
I really enjoy your blog. You make homemaking so beautiful and artsy. It's a pleasure to read.
Lucy is beautiful. Her soft gray seems perfectly suited for your pleasant home.
ReplyDeleteAnna, that's adorable, but I want to warn you about the possibilities of cats and baskets. I had a nice basket hanging around on a living room chair a few months ago - not like yours, with flat woven pieces, but more wicker-y looking - anyway, Dolly couldn't resist it, of course! Well, somehow she got her claw caught in between and was panicking because she couldn't get out. I was also getting panicky, because she cried every time I tried to help her. Finally, she got herself loose (after I'd called on St. Francis, and whoever else up there was willing to help!). Just to warn you!
ReplyDelete:)
Lovely photography -- as usual!
ReplyDeleteThose kitten ears make my heart melt. So glad Lucy has a good home!
ReplyDeleteGood job Lucy Gray!
ReplyDeleteYes, those ears are adorable... and good job, Lucy, because my cat tends to like the places she's least welcome in, like my fabric...
ReplyDeleteLucy is so adorable, and such a blessed girl to have landed in your home. I've been wondering, what do she and Frederick make of each other? : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful puss, looks so restful. I won a beautiful cat - basket in a lottery once. My cat hated it :), after several attempts at trying to make him enjoy it, he growled and used it as a toilet! Pity, it really was a lovely basket :). Pam in Norway
