At last we are through our big projects and putting up the tree! After jam-packed weekends we are looking at a slow Sunday afternoon for stringing lights and getting out the ornaments. Special treats from the Christmas hamper, a fire in the woodstove, and several quiet hours together in a row.
Happy Sunday to you too!
Yes today is the day. We'll be enjoying chocolate too. But I had to buy new lights!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteGood day for that sort of activity, Saint Lucia's Day in Sweden!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Everly
Sounds lovely! We put the tree up last Sunday...this Sunday is gift wrap day.
ReplyDeleteLove the old lights, by the way. We used to have lights like that on our tree when I was little.
We had lights like that on our tree when I was growing up, too, and they defined Christmas for me to the point where we have them on our tree now, also. The new ones don't get as hot as the old ones did--the ceramic lights have such a lovely glow.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
;-) Enjoy your day dear friend.

Sounds like bliss. Have a blessed day in the Lord.
ReplyDeleteShow us a picture of your tree, actually, if you don't mind, all of your decorations!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Anna, I nominated you for Crafters Give Back on Sewmamasew.com today!
ReplyDeleteIn a world of disposables, you inspire me to find the intrinsic value of things. Can you tell me if Bella got the part in the musical?
ReplyDeletehow perfect. I delay decorating the tree until just such a perfect afternoon (we did ours with homemade spiked eggnog this year!)
ReplyDeleteKeri, thank you for the nomination!
ReplyDeleteYes, Bella did a beautiful job with her part in the Messiah. If I can get one of the techno-whizzes in the house to help me, I will post a little footage!
I love those old style lights.
