Fed up with all the linen scraps in various shades of neutral, I am ridding myself of them in one fell swoop.
So, guys, if you are a neutral linen, you are getting used up. No exceptions. You're going in these baby quilts I'm making where I cut you into as large a square, rectangle or strip that I can, and I'm stitching you to a neighbor. Then I'm quilting you.
This will be absolutely beautiful!!Thanks for yet MORE inspiration...

ReplyDeleteLove the colors! Linen is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for all that you offer on here - I am inspired every time I come by (which is often)....
ReplyDeleteI've read your blog for over a year now, never commenting, but today I wanted to let you know that your words and photos have helped me get through a terribly difficult year. I've often been awake in the middle of the night and looked to your post for gentle, soothing distraction. Thank you for sharing calmness, wit, and inspiration to an otherwise turbulent world. I don't even know your full name or where you live, but I consider you a friend that God has sent. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI have a new appreciation for quilters and the patience they must harbour deep in their souls. I found a beautiful little lap quilt at the thrift store for a dollar (!) which needed to be re-batted. I pulled out the stitches from one end, cut the ties (it was a tied quilt), pulled out the clotted mess inside, and then re-batted and machine quilted it all back together. In many places there are wrinkles and folded-over places. Does it look better? No, but it isn't stinky and clotted any longer :o) And I thought because it was "flat" it would be a cinch. Yeah, right.
ReplyDeleteGo quilters! You make amazing things!
I LOVE THIS. That is all.
ReplyDeleteI saw an ad for a local school Christmas program called Pleasant View Schoolhouse!
ReplyDeleteMade me think of you:)
Lovely colours - that will make a beautiful baby quilt!
ReplyDeleteAnna, please come to my house now and use up my fabric. It's not diminishing, but multiplying! Like rabbits. :) Of course, we won't talk about whose fault it is.
ReplyDeleteSo take THAT!! :o)
