Whoopie Pies

Bella keeps making dairy-free whoopie pies after we checked out a library book called Whoopie Pies (yes, I see the connection). And Giles keeps eating two in a row and then groaning that no one should ever eat two at once.

Sorry I don't have a recipe to share . . . but check your library!

  1. *squeals of delight* You're back! And my mouth is watering for one of those pies...at least there are cookies cooling on my stove.

  2. Check your library, indeed! We just got that book at our library - I saw it in the back room last week.

  4. You and Bella find the most interesting recipes! I love whoopie pies! I will be checking our library for the book, but wish Bella would come bake some instead! And I'm sure I could beat Giles' two at once!! ;~P

  7. This post sent me to Wikipedia -- a whoopie pie is not in my past but may be in my future.

  9. We've not made the trip to get new library cards since our move. The picture of those Whoopie Pies is the motivation I needed to get there, thank you~

  10. You are back! I've found your blog about a month after your 'last' post ever and fell in love with it at once. I've read all of it since then, a bit disappointed there'd be no more. You have just made my day - I hope you continue posting for as long as it brings you pleasure and thank you for sharing!

  11. if Bella can achieve a light, fluffy Whoopie Pie...like the full of transfat and other noxiousness that grocery bakeries offer...instead of the heavy WPs that seem to be inevitable product of home cooking ... then she will have done something very rare indeed.

    go bella!

  13. These look great! And I'm always looking for great dairy-free (or easily adaptable) desserts.

Book duly added to my Book Depository wish list! Thanks Anna (and Bella!)
