Clara's Trio

Three hours of practice this morning for the girls in Clara's trio--Christmas songs, wedding music, and general loveliness. To my mind, it beats a rock band in the garage!

  1. I feel like I can hear it. So lovely. In college, a professional violinist lived on the other side of my apartment wall and he practiced diligently. He was horrified when I told him that I woke up hearing his music in the morning (late morning - this was college), but I assured him it was so pleasant. Made my life feel illuminated with a soundtrack.

  5. How lovely, Anna I hope you can tape a little of their music this year as you did Bella's singing last year.

Happy Thanksgiving to all at PVS from us in Australia.

  6. Now I am well and truly envious of you! How lovely to get to listen to such music for hours. I live on a boarding school campus here in Kenya and the son of our music teacher is a wonderful violinist. I loved hearing him practice. Unfortunately, he has just graduated and gone to the U.S. to pursue music after getting a good scholarship. He taught my daughter violin and I dream of her playing for me but she is a) only a beginner and b) not exactly motivated to work hard.
