"Smiling, [the piano teacher] turned to Margaret. She whirled the piano stool until it was the proper height and Margaret sat down, her back very straight. Miss Cobb struck a note . . . and said, 'This is middle C.'"

I am happy for Daisy! What an exciting journey starts with middle c! I think her age is perfect to begin. Wishing you all lots of pleasure, Martina
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. I love to hear my children practice their lessons. Best wishes to Daisy on this new adventure.
ReplyDeleteHow fun for her! We started piano lessons back in April and our first recital is in 2 weeks!! I love them!
ReplyDeletefor me, the best part of my boys taking piano lessons is hearing the music being played throughout the house, which is something i know you are used to and i'm sure enjoy as well.
ReplyDeletegood for you, daisy...happy practicing!

Yay for Daisy! My 12 year old is getting a keyboard for Christmas. I'm looking for a piano teacher for him. I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to Daisy in this new endeavor. My two had their semi-annual piano recital yesterday and for the first time my six-year-old played with both hands and he made it through the piece (basically). With two parents who have no musical ability, that is rather an accomplishment! I'm sure Daisy inherited plenty of musical genes, though, and soon you'll be enjoying even more wonderful music.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute quote to announce Daisy's piano lessons!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those books!!! =) And you are the first person I have ever bumped into that knew about them! (except the people I lent my copies to) I'm 25 now, but every few years I read them all again! =) How can you leave behind dear old friends?
