I was wondering how Frederick was doing - such a handsome boy! Can we see a picture of Lucy too, soon? She's a grown-up young lady cat by now, I imagine. : )
It's so funny, isn't it, when they say the "right thing"? Once, I was on the phone with my friend - she shut off the light switch, and I heard one say, "We're in the dark, we're in the dark!" Does he speak in your voice?
Poor, neglected Lucy. What cat could keep up with such a smart bird? Birds and cats...never a happy combination. I'm guessing Frederick could defend himself reasonably well, but it wouldn't be a pretty sight. I do hope they don't tangle! Can I warn against very large open-backed fans? I remember coming home and not being allowed to come in because our parakeet had flown into the fan. Bad news.
I love him! I missed my Monk Parrot after he died so much. It was like losing a person because he talked to me all the time. They are such a little bundle of joy!
I'm not even remotely interested in birds, but Frederick is so gorgeous. And I can't believe he can talk like that--so amazing. He's so beautiful in his shades of grey.
Hi, I have a cockatiel, Tweety. Not as smart as your African Gray. I just love watching them, see what they are saying. I go to the website About.com. They offer a lot,and they always have a Freakie Friday, and it is a bird. But once I get on the utube, watching those birds, especially Estiene.Bad spelling. I would love it, if you could send any pictures, what is he doing now, kinda thing. Thanks Maureen and Tweety.
Oh, my goodness! How wonderful is that?! I've always wanted a bird that talked to me! My mom likes to tell the story of her great aunt who had a parrot that sang "bye, bye blackbird" and answered the door with a crotchety old "COME IN!!!!" I wish I could have known that bird!
And may I just say that I think Frederick is the most wonderful name for a bird I have ever heard? Oh, I can? Thanks, I think I will. Frederick is the most wonderful name for a bird I have ever heard!
We love our AG too--Niko:-)

ReplyDeleteLovely! I miss my birds. Next spring I might have chickens, but they're not the same as a posh parrot.
ReplyDeleteOh, I had forgotten about Fredrick! We haven't heard about him in awhile.

Makes me want a bird!
ReplyDeleteFrederick is so beautiful. Wouldn't he be wonderful to paint in watercolor? Such an incredible display of God's handiwork!
