Bella Sings Faure

It's been a year since I taped Bella singing, but we finally recorded her again. Enjoy this clip--it's just her informal practice at the piano with Clara, some of Faure's famous "Pie Jesu."

  2. I can't get to a recording, but wanted to say- she looks like a singer! Good posture! And her dress is beautiful. I'll look forward to hearing her. That setting of Pie Jesu is among my favoritesj

  4. I heard Bella way out here in the boonies of Mongolia! So beautiful....the singing, the piano, your young ladies....

We do now have internet access in this far-flung spot (well, when we have electricity!), but I endeavor to *not* spend too much time on it....I have wanted to tell you, though, Anna, that I appreciate and enjoy the glimpses into your heart and life that you give us.

    ....thank you....

  11. It's hard to believe she's only 13. What a sound! As a singer who's been doing it primarily "wrong" for 20 years, her posture and the ease with which she sings makes me a wee bit jealous. That is such a lovely piece, and she sings it beautifully!

  12. Gorgeous tone! Your daughter is a gift to the world. Really.

On the superficial, WHO is ever so graceful and beautiful at 13?

  14. What a lovely rich voice, especially for her age. It's such a gift to be able to make music with siblings as well - she's lucky to have a skilled pianist for a sister!

Was that Bella turning the page for Clara part of the way through? Even if not, I love that she didn't lose her composure there!
