A Bright Day

A bright day at the schoolhouse: the first of our new living room lights are up and running! This pair is hanging over the dining table, and they do such a good job of lighting the stage I don't know if we even need room lights.

Boy, the wonderful world of lighting fixtures is overwhelming. I wish there were 40 to choose from. That I could do. But not 14,000, That grinds my brain to a halt.

  2. That's a really nice choice, especially for a schoolhouse.

  4. The number of choices is overwhelming! I renovated a kitchen and felt buried in choices, once choice led to yet another and another and another.

I cannot imagine building a house. That is one project I'd never want to take on!

    Your lights are lovely.

  5. I know what you mean. My husband is a general contractor. When our house burned down and we were rebuilding it, the quantity of choices for everything was completely overwhelming. Who knew there were so many types of roofing and siding?

  7. We are going to be choosing some lights for our living room next week! I so agree with you about the overwhelming number of things like that. In this case, my husband has an opinion and I think we're going to go with it instead of "just looking." I'm excited to have our dark corner brightened up too.

  8. Those are so pretty! Just right I would think :)

I know what you mean...we've been thinking about a new light fixture for the kitchen, but every single time we go, we're too overwhelmed and put it off. I don't remember this many choices in things 20 years ago, lol!

  9. I feel your joy and your pain of choices. When we found our house, it was nearly finished, but lighting was one thing I got to choose. All 32 of them! Whew! It was fun! Just not fun I'd want to repeat often. :-)

  11. Anna, I have a broken lamp over my island that I'm looking to replace (part of a set of three matching) and yours are an exact match! Do you know the name of the company that makes yours, or what store you purchased them at?
