We covered new thrifting territory this weekend, attending a family reunion, and Felix hit the jackpot with this inspirational piece for his dorm room wall!
He thinks it may be an early version of "Jesus Take the Wheel." Or Tiller. I love its innocence.
Wow. Priceless. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat picture brings back memories. There was a copy of it hanging in the old original building of the church I grew up in. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDelete"He thinks it may be an early version of "Jesus Take the Wheel." " Made me smile. Great dorm room picture - so much more interesting than the standard dorm posters of a) basketball players, b) bands, or c) puppies (if you're female).
ReplyDeleteI love that picture! I have one in my office and often times it is very encouraging...
ReplyDeleteIsn't that wonderful!!

It's a copy of "Christ Our Pilot" by Warner Sallman, a Chicago artist from the 40's and 50's. I recognized it immediately, although couldn't remember the title. Love that he is putting it in his dorm!
ReplyDeleteInspirational AND Vintage!!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI found a website that said the artist is Warner Sallman and the title of the picture is "Christ our Pilot". What a find. I love it.

Very nice, I will always remember your inspiring photo with the "change". Be the change you want to see in the world. I am so proud of our young people.
ReplyDeleteMy son had this hanging in his room also.

That will make for some interesting conversation.
ReplyDeleteLike Peggy, this was hanging in the church where I grew up, so it really made me smile to see it. I *also* smiled at the Jesus Take the Wheel comment. :-)
ReplyDeletelol ... my in-laws have this hanging in their house and my husband loves it.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, is he going to have a roommate? Poor thing.
