It Starts in the Kitchen
True, I am cooking out of these, but also true that it's satisfying to put away all the cookbooks that *aren't* red and green, just for the season. Bring on a little bit of festive!
Lovely! What a fun idea for Christmas! On another topic, I had to laugh happily tonight when I read my daughter's blog post about her latest sewing project. For some reason, it seems as if her writing style this time showed she has been reading your blog for a few years. ;-) http://waresbycherry.wordpress.com/2011/11/30/why-sewing-encourages-strong-character/
How lovely! I don't decorate my kitchen, but yesterday I did start clearing the counter spaces of clutter to make room for making wonderful things for Christmas.
What a simple and doable but cheery decorating idea. I like it! Unfortunately I just glanced at my cookbook shelf in hopes of the same and realized that, out of 30 or so cookbooks, only one was red and none are green. How poorly I planned when building my cooking library ! ;-)
What a fun idea ... I'll be changing up my cookbooks tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteIs the second one from the bottom The Cooky Cookbook? I might have the name off but the binding sure looks like it! :-)

ReplyDeleteHope you're having a lovely start to Advent.
This is such a cute and simple idea. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat are the 1st and 5th cookbooks?
ReplyDeleteThat spiral-bound is the Betty Crocker Cookie Book, and the gingham spine is a late 40s New York Times family cookbook from a distant relative.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Nigella Christmas is the best book ever!! Pick any recipe and It's amazing - happy eating!
