Cookie Season

I've accomplished the four necessaries: chocolate-mint layered bars, coconut macaroons, rugelach (see), and molasses cut-out cookies. Leaving us two weeks to bake optional fripperies. Fun!

  2. You're so lucky to be so far along! We've been spending so much time helping my daughter with college & scholarship applications and trying to get necessary home repairs finished so we can host Christmas Eve for my in-laws and Christmas Day for my family, that I'm way behind on my baking! My daughter (who just applied to the Baking & Pastry Arts program at the Culinary Inst. of America) and I are going to try to get it all done this weekend. Wish me luck!

  3. We're going to do our gingerbread cut-outs today after school with a friend. That's our standard. After that, who knows?!

  5. Baking - yummy! I made rugelach once, and everyone liked it except me! I suppose I should get out the recipe again and give it another try. Those mint chocolate bars sound heavenly, though.
