Sewn from four identical panels of jersey, stenciled with a single large rose motif, appliqued with black jersey shapes, and frosted with black bugle beads. My stencil was downloaded from the
Alabama Chanin website, printed out, and Exacto-knifed out of poster board.
The back has a reversed image, without the applique and beading.
Isn't it amazing how something so simple can look so stunning.
ReplyDeleteI wish jersey looked better on me than it does.
Love love that black rose, especially as I'm a rather dark rose myself.
ReplyDeleteI love it! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am a lurker here but I visit your blog for every post. I just wanted to say again, how much I enjoy each of your posts about the Alabama Stitch projects you have completed. You are such an inspiration.

So cute! And it looks extremely comfy too.

ReplyDeleteWow! Pretty skirt!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
I like very much how the beading gives the flower such a lovely three-demensional appearance.
ReplyDeleteI am about to start one myself and was wondering your thoughts on the need for the double layer of jersey. Would one work if you aren't doing reverse app?
ReplyDeleteOne will be fine. Have fun!
