That dress is gorgeous. I was happier assuming you had made it. Now that I see I could buy it too I only wish I had an occasion that called for it! It wouldn't look as good on me as it does on her, though.
First-time commenter! I've enjoyed your blog very much. Congratulations to your daughter, a college debut is very exciting. I'm about to finish up a voice undergrad, and am now heading off to do a Masters. Best of luck to Bella! (what pieces were performed?) -Rebecca (from Montreal)
Bella has such poise and grace about her. On top of that, she is lovely and the dress is stunning on her! I wish I could have seen her performance. You done good, Mama! The Lord has truly blessed!
She is lovely-and so is that dress! And thanks for posting where you got it. Our daughter is getting married in august and I am looking for a dress. I just ordered 3 from Boden! Hopefully one of them will work.
Congrats to Bella! I've sung classical pieces in English and Italian myself. It's not easy!
Let's see, she sang two pieces by Handel, Bel Piacere and Lascia chi-io pianga, Ame's O Peace, Thou Fairest Child of Heaven (my favorite!), a Norwegian folk piece by Grieg, and several modern songs. If the Composer puts a little video together for me, I'll post it soon. Thanks for all the love for Bella!
Congratulations to Bella! And thank you for sharing this important milestone with your readers. It has been a blessing to see your children grow over the years. :-)
Bravo, Bella!!! So proud of your accomplishment, and you look so beautiful in the Boden dress and pearls. I hope you had a wonderful and memorable experience.
Lovely! I only wish this post had a video with it so we could hear her beautiful voice again! :)
ReplyDeleteThe color of that dress is perfect for her.
Bella has a bright future with you and your husband to guide her!
Oh, Anna! She is stunning! What a gorgeous dress on her--she looks absolutely lovely. I'm sure her performance was equally beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHow are all your children so talented?

Congratulations Miss Bella! You look beautiful in your dress. I like the where the pearls lie against her collarbone, very elegant, very grown-up.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she lovely? She certainly is. I hope it went well! Perfect dress choice, just perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat an accomplished young lady she is. Would've loved to hear her sing - she has the voice of an angel.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so beautiful. If only we could hear her, as well.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is such a gorgeous rich colour, almost like the colour of the camellias in my back garden. Bella looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl! You must be very proud!
ReplyDeleteI would be really interested to know what she sang - she's a soprano right?
ReplyDeleteDo you think she'll be a coloratura or a lyric or dramatic soprano?
She looks sensational. I wish I could have heard her sing. Any chance you could record it for next time.

ReplyDeleteYes, what did she sing? Was it baroque music? A range of different eras?
