It is a most wonderful place and one in which I hope she will grow and flourish and experience great grace. Hoping my girls will one day attend there as well and love it as much as their mother did.
How exciting for Clara. Best wishes as she kicks of her college years!
I recognize the locations in the pictures. My parents both went there, and I grew up a few blocks away. I'm sure Clara will have no problem making friends and creating a home for herself, but should she ever need help or just want a non-cafeteria meal with a family my parents, friends, and the large and friendly homeschooling and church community I grew up with there still live close at hand. Feel free to contact me if she ever needs/wants that connection in the area.
Hi Clara! I've been an anonymous reader of your mum's blog for a few years. Just wanted to let you know how exciting it is to see you starting college. I did the very same thing just last year; there was some homesickness and some late nights studying, sure. :) But blazing your own trail, meeting kindred spirits, and entering into the fullness of all God has for you - it's priceless! The tough moments are beyond worth it - you're going to do splendidly! Blessings to you in your new season~
You can tell by her smile shes happy! Beautiful place to start grand new adventures, meet new friends, absorb all the learning possible. Beautiful Clara, all grown up, finding her place in the world, beautiful mom, whos done a great job. God is good. Blessings, christina
She looks very happy! Will we hear more about Bella's plans for life now that she's the oldest at home- will it be singing or baking? or all of the above?
Did Clara choose a religious college on purpose? It seems quite a contrast from SCAD!
I wish I knew where this college is, since there are so many wonderful comments about it! But wherever Clara is, she sure does look excited and happy! What more can we want from our children than happiness.
Go Clara! Go Clara! I hope this is a wonderful experience for her! Thinking about you, Anna. I know this is the 3rd baby of yours to leave the nest, but first daughter (helper).

ReplyDeleteOh, and P.S. : Have you heard Jewel's rendition of "Simple Gifts"? One of the best I've heard. :)
