Tonight, on the Porch
Looking out the window tonight I saw Felix lying flat on his back reading Chesterton's essays. Just out of camera range, Daisy had a goat leashed to each of her ankles.
That is so funny. Love what's involved in the picture. Our oldest is 10, and I take a deep breath and enjoy the sight of our readers enjoying *good* books. Mary Brooke in Atlanta
I love it. :) You have a lovely family.

I am always touched by the vignettes at your home. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteEach of her ankles?
ReplyDeleteGod bless her.

A goat leashed to each ankle! I hardly know what to say to that.

I am delighted that Felix is reading a (thrifted?) Chesterton but the line about Daisy -- REALLY? C'mon Anna we need a little more.
ReplyDeleteOh my word. Did she get pulled over?
ReplyDeleteWords cannot describe how much I love this scene--both the boy with that book and the girl with the goats!!
ReplyDeleteI can just see this in my mind's eye! Hope Daisy didn't trip!

Love it.
ReplyDeleteDaisy and her adventures are wonderful! I bet all of you find her rather entertaining. I know I do. She always makes me laugh. Thanks for sharing!

Daisy did not fall down because she was already lying in the grass, on her back, writing in her journal, with a goat attached to each ankle.

ReplyDeleteWell of course she was, why didn't I realise this in the first place. :)
I recommend "Heidi" by Johnanna Spyri if she hasn't read it yet.
