Tonight, on the Porch

Looking out the window tonight I saw Felix lying flat on his back reading Chesterton's essays. Just out of camera range, Daisy had a goat leashed to each of her ankles.

  5. I am delighted that Felix is reading a (thrifted?) Chesterton but the line about Daisy -- REALLY? C'mon Anna we need a little more.

  10. Daisy did not fall down because she was already lying in the grass, on her back, writing in her journal, with a goat attached to each ankle.

  11. That is so funny. Love what's involved in the picture. Our oldest is 10, and I take a deep breath and enjoy the sight of our readers enjoying *good* books.

Well of course she was, why didn't I realise this in the first place. :)

I recommend "Heidi" by Johnanna Spyri if she hasn't read it yet.
