Brown Scones
Just use your regular scone recipe and replace 1/2 cup of flour with an equal amount of wheat bran or wheat germ. Then, before baking, glaze them with 2 T. milk + 2 T. dark brown sugar. Now they're practically as good for you as vegetables.
Do you know that I have never tried making scones? I know it seems impossible, but those who know me wouldn't be surprised. I don't do a whole lot of baking, but I'm working on it!
oh, it's definitely turning into scone weather around here! I'm currently in love with rosemary raisin scones - they have WW flour too.
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteThe milk/brown sugar idea looks great! Thanks for sharing it.
