Clara's Knitting: Ribbed Lace Sweater

Clara knit herself this Ribbed Lace Sweater from Sarah Dallas' Vintage Knits. The pattern has short sleeves but she made it sleeveless after trying a sleeve and not liking where the seam sat on her shoulder (a problem we've had consistently with this book). She also added about five inches to the length of the waist. And got a perfect fit, as you can see.

  2. This is stunning. Such talent! Learning to knit properly (and more than the basic knit/purl stitch) is on my bucket list, although I'm not sure I will ever be as good as your daughter is!

  4. That is so very beautiful! She has a wonderful talent!

I had a question...... I will soon be finished crocheting up my very first blanket (largely due to being inspired by you:) and I was wondering......does one "block" a blanket? And if so, is there a favorite method you use? Thank you so much in advance.

  5. What a gorgeous sweater; great job, Clara. It looks like it fits her perfectly, and the color is perfect with her coloring, too!
