With a jello cake, three friends, and a pile of presents, Daisy turned nine.
A cool evening swim, candles and flowers,
and this awesome knitted goat (love the beard blowing in the wind!).
A new Freddy the Pig book, a nice assortment of Sylvanian Friends sets (these are tiny toy critters we admired in Germany--you'll see them sometime, I'm sure),
and the hedgehog from Clara. And her own scrubbing brush and timer, by her request.
With all these, she turned nine.
Happy Birthday Daisy. Looks like she had a great time and got really special personal presents.
ReplyDeleteMany happy returns to Daisy. We still have our Sylvanians, now being put to good use by the next generation.
ReplyDeleteA Happy Birthday to Miss Daisy!

Yay, happy birthday Daisy! I wish I could have been there. It looks like you all had a great day!

Happy Birthday, Daisy! She's grown up so fast!
ReplyDeleteAnd that candle intrigues me! How did it do that?
I've enjoyed seeing this sweet girl grow up from when she was just a baby. I hope her birthday was super fun!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog pretty much since it started....I can't believe that Daisy is 9 already, wow.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely birthday celebration!
Happy birthday to a girl who seems to be growing faster than the years are passing!
ReplyDeleteWow! Happy Birthday, Daisy! Hard to believe that little baby girl is turning nine!
ReplyDeleteSylvanian families are sold in the U.S. under the name "Calico Critters," too, although I think the Sylvanian ones in Europe have some different animals that you can't get here like river otters, etc. We have some at our house and I think I love them as much as my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI just have to know, did Bella approve of the Jello cake? :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Daisy. We have some of those critters and it made me so made when our doggie chewed a couple of them. They're pricey little chew toys.
Bella always has a jello cake herself!
ReplyDeleteI just love the sweet, restrained quality of this celebration -- family, homemade gifts and a few treats. Birthday parties can be such chaotic occasions! Your children will truly rise up and call you blessed for helping them get their priorities in order.
ReplyDeleteAnd what memories! I collected Sylvanians at her age, 20+ years ago. I can still sing the TV jingle. Another thing Daisy will be grateful to be free of. :)
