Storms coming and going, and all the errands done yesterday--today is a good day to read.
And clean up the toy room, and make an orange sandwich cake
for Clara! She's coming home tomorrow just for the weekend. We didn't see her over spring break because she toured with the orchestra. But she's ours tomorrow, then just one more month of school!
How funny as in funny coincidence, we have had storms the last couple of days too. Daisy is very co-ordinated with the bracelet and top, pants and chair over. Have a lovely weekend with Clara.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! The orange sandwich cake sounds delicious, what recipe do you use?
ReplyDeleteThe recipe is from Vintage Cakes--it's a standard Victoria sponge for the layers, then orange buttercream in between and orange glaze on top. Looks good!
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious. Love the pics of your girlie, her stripes look just right against the pink pillows. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am a long time follower.. I just have to say Daisy has grown up so much!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love the pattern to that crochet blanket is that Chevron?
We are cleaning today too! My husband is coming home from a work trip and it's also his birthday. That means cleaning!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a nice time with Clara! Whenever I think of her name I think of Aunt Bea's best friend on The Andy Griffith Show. :)
I think that's fat stripes of chevron--mother made it many years ago.
ReplyDeleteOh such a delight when the students return home for a visit. And Daisy is getting a colt-ish look, growing so fast. Lovely girl.
ReplyDeleteRainy day reading is the best!
ReplyDeleteMight that be a Nancy Drew book? :) I love old books and titles!
