Clara just finished this sweater for Daisy, so even though this is the hottest day of the year so far, the sweater is getting a wearing. It's knitted in a slightly variegated goldenrod merino, from this Ravelry pattern.
The sleeves are *supposed* to be 3/4. The pattern says nothing about turquoise buttons though.
What a great little cardigan! BTW girls, I do admire the goldenrod and turquoise -- those are the colours of our little art shop.
ReplyDeleteClara's knits beautifully and very even. I really like the color combination, so youthful and happy.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the sweater with her little dress!
ReplyDeleteNice knitting. Such a beautiful color. Daisy is a very fortunate recipient!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! The buttons look perfect with it.

Clara, you did a most excellent job! I am most jealous of your knitting ability. My husband told me that I should take knitting and embroidery classes, but have yet to get around to it. I've been inspired by Clara's dress and now the sweater.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Love the color and that color with the buttons and it fits Daisy perfectly. Congratulations, Clara!
ReplyDeleteSimply darling.
ReplyDeleteSo funny. There's a "you might also like" link to a blog post in December--in which Daisy is wearing a summer sweater that Clara knit her in winter.
ReplyDeleteKnitting whims know no season.

ReplyDeleteThat color combination is tops! Great job, Clara. Lucky Daisy.
ReplyDeleteI love it when older children use their powers for the good of the younger. And Clara's knitting powers are considerable.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful color and the button choice makes it pop! Darling Daisy & talented Clara. :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the color. It's so like goldenrod.
ReplyDeletegorgeous! what a sweet thing for a little sister to remember! i was a very little sister to my big sisters and i still remember a jumper and underdress two of my sisters made for me when i was maybe 7 years old.
ReplyDeleteOh my heart just skipped a beat when I saw Daisy in that first photo.
ReplyDeleteOh, good heavens, this is stunning. The colors, the buttons ... perfection.
