That is so cute! I was up early to begin the big baking day but when our Maine Coon kitty gave me such a yearning look, I made a quick cup of coffee in the Keurig and headed for the recliner.
She loves to curl up on my lap when I have the flannel housecoat on. Kitties seem to have an inner since of cozy.
That does look very cozy! 5 o'clock is considerably less cozy at our house; we are usually expecting my husband home anytime, I am working to get dinner ready and policing the children to tidy up so that Daddy doesn't walk in the door to toys and things strewn about. A very busy time for us! 2 o'clock is usually pretty cozy, though. The baby and toddler are napping and the "big" kids (4, 5, & 7) are constructing something from paper and tape or else watching a DVD episode of "Little House on the Prairie," and if I have His favor, then I am sitting on the couch knitting and watching too, and not folding another basket of laundry ;-) Though I don't expect that Felix cooks many dinners around Pleasant View Schoolhouse, being that you have so many capable and accomplished cooks at hand, so it makes sense that he can cozy up with a cat and a book during the near dinner hour. Lucky guy! Thank you for sharing, Anna :-)
Oh Mallorie, you bring back memories! Yes, for young mothers 5:00 is not the best time. The one that stands out in my mind involves spilled milk, exploding baked potatoes, and an unpleasant accident in the bathtub, all at the same time.
Felix is the prep cook--he chops the vegetables ahead of time.
A good book a bed and a cat - sounds like a good time to me.
ReplyDeleteChristmas blessings to you and your family.
Nancy
That's lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteFitzwilliam looks like the cat who got the cream when in fact he got the Felix.

I love the way that kitty is LOOKING at you. Just like "walkingthecat" said: "Mine, all MINE." This is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat was everyone else in the house doing?
