Invitation to a Fast


This Tuesday, March 3, I will be fasting and praying for my cousin Lisa. That day marks three full years of severe chronic pain for her. 

If you are willing to join me in fasting or prayer, please let me know. She would love to know that you are lifting her up to the throne.

    Because of meds I cannot fast but I will pray for her throughout the day. I know how exhausting pain can be.

    Anna I'll happily join you in prayer. I'm at work that day so can't fast as I get migraines if I don't eat. I already said a special prayer for Lisa today and will do so again in the morning and evening of Tuesday 3rd. I'm in Ireland so don't know what times those will be for you but do tell Lisa that I'm thinking of her.

    Also Anna I have a little book of reflections that I open from time to time. It's a devotion to Our Lady basically. You open it randomly and it gives you a little divine 'message' for the day. Anyway I thought about Lisa yesterday for a few minutes, then opened the book and the quote for the day was 'Let my love give you strength' so can you pass on the message to her Anna.     I will pray for your friend on Tuesday and fast the best I can (blood sugar issues). Could we add my pastor's wife to your list? She is 30 years old, has 6 children, and suffers from Stevens-Johnson syndrome after an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. She is in chronic pain, too and it breaks her heart that she cannot have any more children or home educate and largely care for the ones she has.
