Felix with a Banjo

Felix looking handsome during spring break.

In other news, we're getting a donkey tomorrow to guard the goats from coyotes. We had a heartbreaking event Sunday night in which four goats were killed. The new donkey (pregnant!) is the silver lining.

  1. Oh no! Four goats in one night? That IS heartbreaking! I ache for Daisy because I imagine it was particularly hard for her soft heart.

It will be fun to see pictures of your donkey though; and I expect after the foal is born, we'll be treated to pictures of that, too. :)

  2. It's been a while since we have seen Felix, it's good to see him.

Heartbreaking about the goats Anna, I do hope Daisy is doing OK as well as yourself. I had no idea donkeys could guard against coyotes, I had no idea there were coyotes in your part of the States.

  4. Felix is a handsome banjo player!

We have coyotes here too. I love hearing them at night, but they do kill calves sometimes, and that is no good. Sorry about your goats! That is devastating.

  6. Seems as though there are coyotes everywhere. There was a show on PBS that illustrated how well-adapted they have become to city life--not that Anna is in the city.

  10. So sad to hear of the goats - and so hoping that Daisy's favorites were not involved. So glad they will be getting a new guardian angel!
