Daisy's New Chicks
Daisy just got a batch of Barred Rock chicks through her 4H club. We've stowed them in the incubator, and will be tending to them twice a day until they're ready to move into a pen. Expect cuteness.
Oh my goodness, they are so cute. Daisy, they are going to think that you are their momma until they get very big. I raised two chicks when I was a little older than you and they followed me around and sat on my shoulders until they finally decided that they were chickens. Good luck with them and have fun. Happy Easter! Susan
They're adorable. Lots of roosters there, so hopefully she won't have them more than 4 months or so :) Enjoy, my barred rock hens are some of my favorites.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Our favourite chooks were raised from day old, we used a light bulb in a clay flower pot and all six grew to adulthood.
ReplyDeleteHow fun it has been to watch Daisy grow up! She is adorable.
ReplyDeleteOh, the cuteness is over-the-top!!
ReplyDeleteDaisy's cute too, of course.
That frock! I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteDeanne, we're wondering how you can tell which ones are roosters. They're supposed to be sexed for hens!
