I *think* Felix just finished his first year of grad school, and I *know* his housemate is getting married on Saturday--because I had to make a bow tie for the wedding.
I used this easy tutorial and the whole thing took just half an hour. Not including tying the thing: not my job. Felix picked out a nice green shirt from the thrift store, and I just used the sleeves. Expect green projects later with the rest.
Very fetching. How time flies.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! My son is a bow tie fan and he swears by the youtube tutorial on how to tie one by Bill Nye the science guy! Susan from Virginia
ReplyDeleteSweet! Christina
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link for the tutorial. I will keep it for future reference. You never know when you may need a bow tie pattern. I do enjoy sewing (mostly quilts) but I do tackle "from scratch" clothing when I have to - as in a long dress for my 10-year-old grand daughter's violin recital the end of April. It turned out very nice but I'd rather sew a quilt - you don't have to "fit" that. Thanks for the ideas. And PS - I'm still making your Schoolhouse Bread about every week.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe he is finishing his first year of grad school. I wish his housemate all the best in his marriage.
ReplyDeleteGood idea. Time flies, I cannot believe Felix already turns to a handsome person.
