Well, here we are all pink up in the kitchen! Benjamin Moore's Melted Ice Cream did the trick for me.
It's a pink subtle enough to look very different by different lights.
Cream in the strong sunshine, pink after dark.
Beautiful and fresh.
At the moment it's hosting a bit of Christmas color, but that will settle down after the holidays.
Nice job Anna! The still life -- is it one of yours?
ReplyDeleteLovely! I will have to remember that color and brand. Some day I may redo my cottage to better reflect its 1950 beginning with colors more popular to the decade.
ReplyDeleteRose, it's a thrift store find. Kate, how fun would it be to redo a whole house in 50s colors!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks wonderful. That vintage clock, the mugs, aprons, and the fabric banner! I have some old tablecloths that really can only be used for pieces and I just haven't had the heart to cut them up, but seeing your banner gives me renewed faith in the scraps being brought to life again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteoh it's just beautiful!!! I love pink with just about any color, and it's nice to see several shots of your pink kitchen showing off some other spots of color. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the color you have chosen! Your kitchen is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You will no doubt be very happy to work in your lovely pink kitchen. The right colors lift our spirits, feed them and improve them! Just looking at your pictures makes me feel happy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color! May I ask what direction your kitchen faces? Paint changes so much depending on the direction of the light. My kitchen faces north and I have a hard time finding just the right color.
ReplyDeleteI confess to wondering about a pink kitchen when I first read that was what you were about to do, but the shade you have used is a beautiful subtle backdrop for your treasures. Sweet and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love. My grandmother had a pale pink kitchen and I thought it was just the bee's knees.
ReplyDeleteI love how fresh and homey that color is in the kitchen! Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Anna!
ReplyDeleteI really love it
It really looks great. Much nicer than I imagined it would. Good for you! A fresh kitchen for the holidays. Benjamin Moore paint colors seem to have a life of their own - beyond just a "color".
ReplyDeleteYou still have the bunting! I have always loved that.

Thanks, everyone! The kitchen has a big west window and a skylight.
ReplyDeleteLove, love love!
ReplyDeleteAnna, pink is such an original choice for a kitchen and it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteTo Tanya with the north facing kitchen, maybe pink could work for you also? In Victorian times dining rooms were traditionally painted red for north facing to warm it and green for south facing to cool it. Pink being basically a very light red, it might look good. Do you know the trick of getting a paint sample pot and painting a large piece of cardboard, at least a square foot, stick up it on the wall and live with it for a few days. It means you don't have to paint patches all over your walls (also unless your wall is white to begin with, colour samples will take on the hue of what's underneath). Best wishes to all, Angela.
