Seeing your iteration of it makes me think it's cute. The pattern cover photos didn't do it for me--in fact, they looked sort of dumpy. But yours? Yours looks sweet!
I'm currently in wrap dress land here, gearing up to try a vintage pattern next (just tried Colette's Crepe), on my quest for The Ideal Wrap Dress. Maybe the Dottie Angel will make the list now.
I had a go at making this dress. firstly I had to adjust the pattern as it was too small for me. my fault kidding myself that I was a size 20. wait! I am a size 20. I made the sleeveless version but I found the instructions a bit ropey. Love the style and it did look ok in the end. I don't think that the pattern is worked in the normal way. jules
