I made this dress for Clara last year as one of my first embroidery projects. I freehandedly stitched some sunflowers and leaves around the front neckline of the dress, and I love how it turned out.
It has re-surfaced this year passed down to Bella, on whom it looks even better!

Such a lovely job especially for your first embroidered project.
Very pretty! I'm sure that it looks lovely against her beautiful skin. I just checked a book of embroidery out of the library today! I can't wait to try something.
I love the simplicity of embroidery on gingham.
that is beautiful! I know the dress would look especially good on Bella, with her beautiful coloring.

Echoing the other comments: the pale, soft, yellow looks lovely against her velvety brown skin!
My husband read/heard something at the Homeschool Convention about young ladies embroidering the sheets, and somehow that showed great love for their husband, so he's been teasing me ever since about embroidering our sheets. I have half a mind to try it just to make him laugh!
When I was in kindergarten my mother embroidered a little duckie on my dress bodice. I wore that dress for my school picture. I can still see it in my mind's eye and am gently warmed by the memory.
Nicely done! I love how just a bit of embroidery totally changes the look of something otherwise unremarkable. Very pretty.
is is soo pretty..very feminine and lovely for your daughter
This dress and the onesies are precious!
