Purple Shamrock

A week of cool weather and frequent showers has made everything lush. Felix planted this purple shamrock last year--a garden passalong from a friend in Tiny Town. It's establishing itself into a very healthy clump.

That's beautiful! Is it a shade lover? I might have to find some myself.

I love this! We are moving into a new house in two weeks and I've already been thinking of what I might like to plant there. I will have to look into this.

We are moving to a house that sits on 17 acres, in the country. We are very excited. There is a winding country road that is beckoning me to begin afternoon walks such as you speak of so frequently. Do you to once or twice a day, and do you walk at a brisk pace, or slowly? I was just wondering if this is what you do for exercise or just pleasure. I may take my little ladies along with me most days. There's also a railroad track nearby, those are always fun to walk on, as long as you listen for the trains!

Warmly,
Kim

Purple clover... this is a variety of oxalis, Kim, if you ask for it at the nursery. I have a clump coming up in my back porch pot. And oxalis thrives in my shady gardens.
