Convalesence
For the convalescent's room:
• Cheery company as tolerated (Daisy likes to provide this, and she brings her bunny family with her).
• Tidiness. Who wants to lie there looking at mess and disorder they can't do anything about?
• Lots of sunshine.
• Fresh pillowcase every day, fresh sheets as needed.
• Fresh flowers.

And, the sunlight... a most important element which seems to abound in your sickroom! Here's hoping that your mother is regaining strength very quickly.

The photos are lovely--so calming and peaceful. Who could stay ill with surroundings like that? Your mother is so fortunate to be recuperating in your home with the love and attention you describe.
I always learn something new and helpful from your blog! It just had not crossed my mind to change pillowcases every day. I usually just change all the linens once a week. This is a good thing, as MS would say.

You know, I completely missed the part about your mother recovering from back surgery! I didn't mean to sound flippant in my earlier comment!
But I do LOVE your sickroom! It's heavenly, as are the photos.

Hi Anna, I hope your mum is doing well. Those soft blues are such restful colours.
would it be possible to get a shot of that bed? I love old iron beds and I think I have one similar, although I've never seen one like it.
